We are partnering with a publicly traded technology organization to find a Tax Analyst / Corporate Tax Professional to support their in-house tax team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with corporate income tax experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting federal and multi-state tax compliance activities.

  • Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid Preferred – 3 Days In Office)
  • Employment Type: Contract through End of Year (potential for extension)
  • Schedule: Hybrid or Remote (Must be located in CST; Texas preferred)
  • Compensation: $38/hr. - 52/hr. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of federal corporate income tax returns and related compliance filings
  • Prepare and assist with approximately 20 state corporate income tax returns
  • Work within OneSource Income Tax (OIT) software to input, validate, and maintain tax return data
  • Assist with tax compliance workpapers and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with internal tax team members to ensure accurate and timely filing of federal and state tax returns
  • Review financial and tax data for completeness and accuracy prior to inclusion in tax filings
  • Support estimates, extensions, and annual income tax compliance requirements
  • Assist with responses to tax notices and information requests from taxing authorities
  • Conduct tax research as needed to support compliance activities
  • Maintain organized tax records and supporting schedules

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of corporate income tax experience
  • Experience preparing federal corporate income tax returns
  • Experience preparing state corporate income tax returns
  • Hands-on experience with OneSource Income Tax (OIT)
  • Experience working within a corporate tax department or public accounting tax practice
  • Understanding of corporate income tax compliance processes and filing requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Big 4 or regional public accounting experience
  • Experience supporting large corporate or multi-state tax environments
  • Experience with consolidated tax return processes
  • Exposure to ASC 740 and corporate tax provision processes
