Our client, a leading global eCommerce and online marketplace company, is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join their design team. This is a high-impact, strategic position where your work will shape experiences for millions of users on their platform. The ideal candidate is a consumer-focused designer with a clean, modern aesthetic and deep expertise in interaction design and native mobile — someone who blends design strategy, visual craft, and prototyping skills with the ability to build scalable frameworks and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners. This role is remote and calls for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a strong and opinionated design point of view, and excels at partnering with product and engineering to deliver polished, user-centered solutions.

• This is a freelance assignment. Pay rate: $68.50/hour

Responsibilities:

• Deliver user-centered design solutions that thoughtfully balance business needs, product requirements, customer research, and design best practices.
• Produce wireframes, visual mockups, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes with a strong emphasis on interaction design and motion.
• Apply and extend the organization's existing design system, contributing new patterns and components as needed.
• Participate in user research, usability testing, and product discovery initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional partners to shape product strategy and build scalable, framework-driven design solutions.
• Lead design sprints and workshops to drive product discovery forward.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional experience in Product Design or UI/UX Design.
• Strong consumer-facing design portfolio demonstrating clean, modern aesthetics across mobile apps and web — candidates with primarily B2B or enterprise design backgrounds are not the right fit for this engagement.
• Deep expertise in native mobile design (iOS and Android) as well as responsive web.
• Strong interaction design skills — candidates should be able to demonstrate thoughtful, nuanced approach to flows, transitions, and micro-interactions.
• Demonstrated experience designing and launching scalable design frameworks and systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and tradeoffs to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong collaborator with a track record of working effectively across design, product, and engineering teams.
• eCommerce or two-sided marketplace design experience is a plus.
