We are working on a full time freelance role as Tech Designer, Outlets, Men's Knits. The Technical Designer – Outlet Men's Knits is responsible for the development, fit, construction, and execution of from development through fit approval. This role partners closely with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and overseas vendors to ensure products meet fit, quality, cost, and calendar objectives.

• Location: NYC - 5 days per week
• FT Hours - Pay rate $65-72/hour based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain technical packages in PLM.
• Lead fit sessions, evaluate garment fit, and provide clear technical comments to vendors.
• Review samples, pattern corrections, and construction details to ensure design intent and quality standards are achieved.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and global vendors to support on-time product development.
• Manage multiple seasons while meeting key development milestones and proactively identifying technical risks.
• Support continuous improvement of fit standards, construction, and technical processes.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of Technical Design experience in knit apparel.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit.
• Experience with Centric PLM (or similar), Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
