A well-established private equity real estate investment firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Professional to join its in-house tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished public accounting tax professional who is looking to transition into an established real estate organization while continuing to work on sophisticated tax compliance matters with significant opportunity for long-term growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in partnership taxation, multi-state compliance, and federal income tax preparation. This position offers broad exposure to complex entity structures and the opportunity to become a key contributor within a collaborative and expanding tax department.

  • Location: Delray Beach, FL (Onsite)

  • Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000 (Some Flexibility) + Comprehensive Benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, LLCs, corporations, and trusts.

  • Manage multi-state tax compliance, including PTET, withholding, composite filings, estimated payments, and related state reporting requirements.

  • Research technical tax matters and analyze the impact of new tax legislation.

  • Review tax workpapers and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Respond to federal and state tax notices and assist with audits and examinations as needed.

  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to gather information required for tax reporting.

  • Mentor junior accounting and tax staff while providing technical guidance and support.

  • Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and compliance procedures.

  • Participate in planning initiatives and other special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

  • CPA preferred.

  • Six or more years of public accounting tax experience.

  • Strong experience preparing partnership tax returns required.

  • Multi-state tax experience required, including PTET and related state compliance.

  • Commercial real estate tax experience preferred.

  • Yardi experience preferred.

  • Strong technical tax research and analytical skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
