We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join the Supply Chain Data & AI organization. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize cloud-native data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support enterprise data products and analytics across Sourcing, Transportation, and Warehouse Management (WMS). You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, AI-ready data solutions that drive business insights and operational excellence.

  • Pay range :$60 to $65/hr on w2

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and data products using GCP, Dataproc, BigQuery, SQL, and dbt.

  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for enterprise data ingestion, transformation, and publishing.

  • Design scalable data models for analytical and operational reporting.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Lead technical design sessions, perform code reviews, and mentor engineering team members.

  • Optimize cloud data platforms for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

  • Implement monitoring, testing, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.

  • Support production issues, continuous improvements, and Agile development processes.

  • Contribute to reusable frameworks, documentation, and engineering standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering with technical leadership on enterprise data projects.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Expert knowledge of Dataproc, BigQuery, SQL, and dbt.

  • Experience designing modern ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-native data architectures.

  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, normalized data models, and data warehouse design.

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.

  • Preferred experience with Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, PySpark, and Python.

  • Familiarity with data quality, metadata management, and data governance.

  • Experience in Retail (Apparel), Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or Distribution Center operations is highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
