We have partnered with an industry-leading, private equity-backed medical device manufacturer to identify a Director / Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis. Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the finance function while serving as a strategic business partner across the organization. This individual will lead a high-performing FP&A team consisting of a Senior FP&A Analyst, Consolidations Manager, and Treasury Analyst, while partnering closely with executive leadership and plant operations to drive financial performance, profitability, and long-term growth. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of corporate finance and manufacturing/site finance experience, with demonstrated ownership of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. This role requires an executive who is equally comfortable developing long-term financial strategy, presenting to leadership and private equity stakeholders, and rolling up their sleeves in a lean, fast-paced environment.
- Compensation: $180,000–$250,000 base + bonus (commensurate with experience)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to the CFO and executive leadership team, providing financial insights that support business growth and operational performance.
- Lead all FP&A activities, including annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- Maintain ownership and oversight of the company’s P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, ensuring accurate reporting and actionable financial insights.
- Develop executive and board-level reporting packages, KPIs, dashboards, and business performance analyses.
- Partner closely with manufacturing and operations leadership to evaluate plant performance, inventory, cost structure, productivity, and working capital initiatives.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities to support site leadership, improve financial visibility, and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Support strategic initiatives including capital investments, operational improvements, pricing analysis, M&A activities, and business integration efforts.
- Assist with lender, investor, and private equity reporting requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Continuously improve financial processes, reporting capabilities, and business intelligence to support scalable growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow within a complex business environment.
- Experience supporting both corporate finance and manufacturing/site finance functions.
- Manufacturing industry experience required; medical device or regulated manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Prior experience working within a private equity-backed organization strongly preferred.
- Strong background in financial planning & analysis, operational finance, and executive business partnering.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience; familiarity with modern planning, reporting, and business intelligence tools preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
