Our client is looking for a Manager, Associate Director, or Director of Tax Compliance to join their team!

  • Location: Hybrid in New York, NY, with additional opportunities available in other major metro markets across the U.S.
  • Salary: $125,000–$200,000 annually, depending on experience and level

Responsibilities:

  • Lead tax compliance engagements for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, partnerships, private foundations, and closely held entities.
  • Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring all filings are accurate and completed on schedule.
  • Manage the end-to-end tax compliance process, including gathering financial information, reviewing supporting documentation, and overseeing filing deliverables.
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues while staying current on evolving tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with internal advisors and external professionals to deliver integrated tax solutions that support clients' broader wealth planning objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, increase efficiencies, and leverage technology to strengthen the tax compliance function.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor on complex tax compliance matters.
  • Support the continued growth of the tax practice through collaboration, process improvements, and the implementation of best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA required; JD, LLM, or an advanced tax degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of tax compliance experience supporting ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and complex entities.
  • Public accounting experience with a Big 4, regional, or boutique accounting firm.
  • Strong technical expertise with complex Schedules K-1, foreign reporting requirements, and multi-state tax filings.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with UltraTax and/or CCH Axcess preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.
