Our client is working on a womenswear design role with a top company based in midtown NYC.  I believe role is 4 days onsite and 1 remote each week.  Full time hours. Role is  working on women's apparel - wovens and cut & sew for casual product sold to department stores. 

• It is a temp to perm opportunity - hourly pay rate is approximately $30-38 an hour based on experience but may go up. 
• Great company to work for with long term potential. 

Responsibilities:

• In-depth experience working with both wovens and cut & sew knits
• Strong flat sketching skills in Illustrator for womenswear
•  Ability to create embellishment layouts in Illustrator would be helpful. 
• Comprehensive understanding of fabric, garment construction, and trim
• Garment measurement and specification experience

Required Qualifications:

• Fashion Design degree - support with fabric as well would be helpfulMust be proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel
• Asst or Associate level - 1-6 years approximately of experience in womens design
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with collaborative attitude
• Demonstrated creative sense and ability
• High taste level and awareness of trends
