Our client, the in-house agency of a telecommunications company in NYC, is looking for a Sr. Program Manager, Integrated Marketing for a 2-3 month contract with the possibility of extension. This person will be a strategic orchestrator who brings a holistic view to complex, multi-disciplinary work, ensuring teams are aligned around priorities, resources, timelines, and business objectives. This role requires someone with strong agency experience who can see beyond individual projects or workstreams to understand the entire landscape, identify dependencies and competing priorities, and make thoughtful tradeoffs about where teams should focus their time and energy. The Senior Program Manager serves as the connective tissue across teams, confidently guiding conversations around what can be accomplished now, what needs to be deprioritized, and where additional resources or adjustments are required. Equally strong at relationship-building and strategic thinking, this person brings teams together, creates clarity in ambiguity, and drives work forward while keeping the broader business and project ecosystem in view.
- Pay Rate: $65-80/hour (based on experience)
- Location: Hybrid NYC
- Length: 2-3 months with potential for extension
Responsibilities:
- Oversee complex, interconnected programs across creative, strategy, account, production, and other agency disciplines
- Maintain a holistic view of the project landscape, understanding how individual initiatives, timelines, resources, and priorities impact one another
- Evaluate competing priorities and proactively identify where tradeoffs need to be made based on available resources, timelines, business needs, and team capacity
- Establish clear priorities and help stakeholders understand what can be delivered immediately, what needs to shift, and what should be deprioritized
- Serve as the central orchestrator across multiple teams and workstreams, ensuring everyone understands priorities, dependencies, responsibilities, and deadlines
- Bring the right people together to solve problems, make decisions, remove roadblocks, and keep critical work moving forward
- Partner closely with senior agency and client stakeholders to align expectations, communicate risks, and provide clear recommendations and solutions
- Build strong, trusted relationships across disciplines while maintaining the confidence to challenge assumptions and advocate for the overall health of the program
- Develop and manage integrated program plans that account for scope, timelines, dependencies, resources, budgets, and potential risks
- Anticipate downstream impacts of decisions and proactively adjust plans to keep programs on track
- Identify resource constraints and work with leadership and discipline leads to determine the most effective allocation of people and capabilities
- Create visibility into the total portfolio of work through clear status reporting, prioritization frameworks, roadmaps, and communication plans
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, prioritization discussions, and decision-making sessions with a focus on driving alignment and action
- Establish processes and operating rhythms that enable teams to work efficiently while maintaining flexibility as priorities evolve
- Identify opportunities to improve how teams collaborate, plan, prioritize, and execute work across the agency
- Escalate critical issues with context and recommended solutions rather than simply identifying problems
- Keep teams focused on the highest-value work while balancing immediate needs with longer-term strategic priorities
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of program management, project management, or integrated operations experience, preferably within an agency environment
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional programs with multiple concurrent workstreams, stakeholders, and competing priorities
- Exceptional ability to see the big picture while understanding the details necessary to successfully execute the work
- Strong strategic judgment and the ability to make thoughtful recommendations around prioritization, sequencing, scope, resources, and tradeoffs
- Proven ability to assess capacity and constraints and confidently communicate when work needs to be shifted, deprioritized, or resourced differently
- Strong agency experience working across creative, strategy, account, production, design, technology, and other disciplines
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to establish trust across levels and disciplines
- Comfortable influencing without direct authority and bringing diverse teams together around a common goal
- Highly organized with strong program planning, dependency management, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities and requirements can change quickly
- Strong executive presence and confidence communicating complex program considerations to senior stakeholders
- A collaborative leadership style combined with the ability to make decisions, challenge thinking, and drive accountability
- Experience developing program roadmaps, resource plans, timelines, governance models, and communication frameworks
- Ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans and ensure teams remain aligned to the broader goal
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong facilitation and presentation abilities
- Experience with project and program management tools and methodologies commonly used in agency environments
