We are looking for a Brand Manager (Beauty/Innovation) for a beauty brand in NYC!
- Pay rate: $50-53/hr based on experience
- Onsite 3x/week in NYC
- 17 week contract (covering MAT leave)
Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day, intricate management of the Lip innovation pipeline.
• Manage work with product development and drive packaging development of key 2028 + 2029 projects from concept through launch.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities across Global Markets, R&D, Packaging, Claims, Legal, Regulatory, Artwork, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales.
• Support critical needs for core phase in - including new packaging / artwork management, asset production and new PDP development across 5 Lip properties.
• Own project timelines, stage-gate deliverables, and commercialization readiness.
• Analyze category, competitive, consumer, and market performance data to support strategic recommendations.
• Manage innovation sizing, financial costing for 2028 and 2029 innovation, and gate process.
• Assist with research across proposition development for 2028 key relaunch focus.
• Partner with creative agencies and social media teams to support innovation storytelling and launch readiness.
• Support development of presentations, strategic recommendations, and executive communications.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of Beauty industry experience strongly preferred, particularly color cosmetics and innovation.
• Experience managing end-to-end product innovation and commercialization processes.
• Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, P&L understanding, and business case development.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to analyze market, consumer, and competitive data.
• Experience working with packaging development and artwork processes.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Systems / Tools Proficiency
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite
• Circana / Nielsen syndicated data platforms (preferred)
• Project management and workflow management systems
• Experience with commercialization and artwork approval systems preferred
