Our client is looking for a Sr. Financial Reporting Accountant. This position is hybrid and located in Boca Raton, FL.
  • Salary: up to $120,000
Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation and filing of the company’s quarterly and annual SEC reports, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, earnings announcements, and other regulatory filings.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting schedules, account reconciliations, and supporting analyses used in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Monitor changes to accounting standards and assist with assessing the impact of new guidance on the company’s financial reporting.
  • Assist with reviewing and validating XBRL tagging to help ensure SEC filings are accurate and compliant.
  • Participate in the monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring reporting requirements are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Draft technical accounting documentation and memos addressing accounting conclusions for quarterly and annual reporting periods.
  • Analyze financial results and investigate significant changes or trends to provide explanations for period-over-period fluctuations.
  • Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and control documentation to support compliance with internal control standards.
  • Partner with external auditors by coordinating information requests, preparing documentation, and ensuring audit deliverables are provided within established deadlines.
  • Take part in ad hoc accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field is required.
  • CPA license is preferred.
  • 3–4 years of experience in public accounting with a solid foundation in U.S. GAAP.
  • Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is strongly preferred.
  • Background in financial reporting, SEC reporting, or technical accounting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with general ledger or ERP platforms and accounting systems is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including the ability to work with complex financial data and build detailed reporting schedules.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively balance competing priorities, work independently, and consistently meet reporting deadlines.
