Our client is seeking a Sr. Manager, Technical SEO to lead technical SEO strategy across major streaming web properties, including domestic and international sites. This role will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, and QA teams to integrate SEO and AI Discovery best practices into product roadmaps, development workflows, releases, and site operations. The ideal candidate is highly technical, analytical, collaborative, and experienced with enterprise-scale websites and modern web technologies.
  • Pay range:$85 to $90/hr on W2
Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical SEO initiatives across major streaming web properties.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to integrate SEO and AI Discovery requirements into roadmaps, releases, migrations, and development workflows.
  • Translate SEO requirements into Jira tickets, technical specifications, Confluence documentation, QA checklists, and implementation guidance.
  • Oversee crawlability, rendering, indexing, canonicalization, redirects, structured data, sitemaps, site architecture, and JavaScript SEO.
  • Conduct technical SEO audits and crawl monitoring using Botify, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools.
  • Monitor releases and production changes, identify SEO risks, support QA, and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Analyze crawl data, server logs, bot activity, search performance, and indexation signals to identify opportunities and prioritize fixes.
  • Support international SEO initiatives, including hreflang, localization, regional URL structures, and multi-market implementations.
  • Ensure web properties are accessible and optimized for search engines, LLM crawlers, AI search bots, and AI agents.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams on crawler and SERP governance.
  • Stay current with developments in technical SEO, AI search, LLM crawlers, agentic browsing, and generative answer engines.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5–8+ years of SEO experience, with a strong focus on technical SEO.
  • Strong expertise in crawlability, rendering, indexing, JavaScript SEO, canonicalization, redirects, metadata, internal linking, structured data, XML sitemaps, and site performance.
  • Experience managing SEO for large-scale, enterprise, international, or multi-region websites.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript-based websites, modern frameworks, rendering, hydration, and server-side rendering.
  • Experience working directly with Product, Engineering, Frontend, Backend, and QA teams in Agile environments.
  • Ability to create technical requirements, Jira tickets, documentation, QA plans, and implementation guidance.
  • Strong international SEO experience, including hreflang and global site architecture.
  • Experience with Botify, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and large datasets.
  • Experience with release QA, regression testing, site audits, monitoring, and technical issue escalation.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress is preferred.
  • Experience with Python, APIs, and automation workflows is a plus.
