Job Description

A leading global consumer and lifestyle company with a distinguished portfolio of iconic American brands, headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking an exceptionally polished and experienced Executive Assistant to support the CEO. This is not a traditional administrative role, as this person will serve as a trusted partner and true extension of the CEO, who views his EA as a critical part of his leadership infrastructure—someone who can anticipate needs, manage complexity, keep him organized across a highly mobile schedule, and ensure he is operating at his highest level. While the core of the position is executive support, there is an opportunity to expand into Chief of Staff–type responsibilities over time, including strategic initiatives, executive priorities, cross-functional projects, Board preparation, and organizational coordination. Candidates must have a minimum of 7-10+ years of applicable executive support experience, ideally supporting a CEO, President, Chairman, or similarly senior executive within a sophisticated organization. Experience within private equity-backed or portfolio companies, retail, fashion, apparel, consumer businesses, hospitality, quick-service restaurants, large B2C organizations, and/or companies undergoing significant growth, transformation, integration, or change would be particularly compelling. The ideal candidate will be extremely polished, proactive, highly organized, sophisticated, discreet, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, complex environment, with excellent judgment and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. The CEO is described as incredibly kind, thoughtful, and genuinely respectful of and appreciative of his EA. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-profile, rapidly evolving consumer organization with an exceptional portfolio of brands and work directly alongside a CEO who genuinely values the partnership with his Executive Assistant. For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of the CEO’s leadership infrastructure, gain exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiatives, and potentially develop into a broader Chief of Staff–type partner over time!
  • Salary depends on experience (125–175k+ base), plus discretionary bonus eligibility (approximately 5–10%). Comprehensive benefits package and relocation assistance available for the right candidate!
  • Hours are generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility outside of standard hours based on the CEO’s schedule. This position is based at the company’s headquarters in Plano, TX, with a significant corporate presence in New York City. The CEO travels frequently between the Plano and NYC offices, as well as domestically and internationally.
  • Hybrid work schedule (4 days in office / 1 day remote).

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a highly trusted, proactive partner and extension of the CEO.
  • Manage a complex and constantly evolving calendar across multiple offices, priorities, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate extensive domestic and international travel, ensuring all logistics and last-minute changes are handled seamlessly.
  • Prepare the CEO for meetings, including agendas, briefing materials, presentations, and follow-up.
  • Support Board meetings, executive meetings, offsites, and other high-level engagements.
  • Partner closely with the CEO’s strategy team and senior leadership.
  • Serve as a key connective point between the CEO, strategy team, executive leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively identify potential issues before they arise.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with exceptional discretion.
  • Provide occasional personal assistant support as needed.
  • Take ownership of special projects and responsibilities based on the candidate’s strengths and interests.
  • Act as a gatekeeper and trusted representative of the CEO when appropriate.
  • Potentially take on broader Chief of Staff–type responsibilities over time.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7-10+ years of applicable executive support experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Significant experience supporting a CEO, President, Chairman, or similarly senior executive.
  • Experience in the following environments would be particularly compelling: private equity-backed or portfolio companies; retail, fashion, apparel, or consumer businesses; hospitality or quick-service restaurants; large, sophisticated B2C organizations; companies undergoing significant growth, transformation, integration, or change.
  • Industry experience is important, but the caliber of CEO-support experience is the primary consideration. The strongest candidate will have already operated at this level and be able to step into the role with confidence.
  • Experience supporting an executive who operates across multiple offices and/or geographies strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional calendar and domestic/international travel management experience.
  • Board and/or executive meeting preparation experience.
  • Outstanding judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Highly proactive and anticipatory working style.
  • Strong executive presence and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and make sound decisions without constant direction.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand the broader context behind the CEO’s priorities.
  • Willingness to work in the Plano office four days per week.
  • Highly trustworthy, discreet, calm, composed, and unflappable.
  • Warm and personable while maintaining strong executive presence.
  • Confident enough to push back or redirect when appropriate.
  • Comfortable operating with a high level of ownership.
  • Interested in building a long-term partnership with the CEO.
If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
