  • The salary range for this role is $225,000-250,000 based on experience plus bonus.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead merchandising across the homepage, landing pages, product listing pages (PLPs), onsite search, product detail pages, navigation, and promotional experiences to deliver an intuitive and compelling customer journey.
  • Develop seasonal merchandising strategies, promotional calendars, product launch plans, dynamic collections, and storytelling frameworks aligned with brand, inventory, and commercial priorities.
  • Establish best practices for assortment presentation, taxonomy, filters, facets, sorting, "searchandising", navigation, and product discovery across desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Own the onsite search strategy, including search relevance, synonyms, ranking rules, zero-result experiences, and search-driven product discovery.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize PLP service providers and merchandising platforms to improve product ranking, filtering, sorting, discoverability, and conversion.
  • Lead the strategy and ongoing optimization of product recommendation engines, personalized content, customer segmentation, and dynamic merchandising experiences across the customer journey.
  • Develop an AI-enabled merchandising roadmap that leverages predictive ranking, intelligent recommendations, dynamic collections, AI-assisted assortment optimization, and emerging technologies.
  • Lead a robust A/B and multivariate testing program, developing hypotheses and prioritizing experiments across merchandising layouts, messaging, navigation, recommendations, creative assets, and customer journeys.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by using site analytics, behavioral insights, inventory, and sell-through data to identify opportunities and guide merchandising decisions.
  • Partner with Creative and Brand Marketing to define digital creative direction, including photography strategy, campaign imagery, product presentation, image hierarchy, content prioritization, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Partner with CRM, Marketing, and Analytics to connect onsite merchandising with customer segmentation and lifecycle strategies for new, returning, loyalty, and high-value customers.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, Digital Product, UX, Marketing, Creative, and Analytics to prioritize and deliver seamless site experiences.
  • Partner with Digital Product and Engineering to optimize Shopify capabilities, integrations, and workflows that enable efficient merchandising execution and scalable site experiences.
  • Develop executive reporting that connects merchandising actions to revenue, conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, product discovery, search performance, inventory productivity, and customer lifetime value.
  • Build scalable processes, governance, and workback plans that support accurate, efficient execution across seasonal launches and promotional events.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing Site Merchandising team while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, testing, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success leading digital merchandising strategy for a high-volume DTC or omnichannel business with accountability for revenue, conversion, and customer experience.
  • Deep expertise in site merchandising, product discovery, searchandising, personalization, customer journey optimization, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Significant experience with Shopify or Shopify Plus, including native merchandising capabilities, catalog and collection management, promotions, integrations, and ecommerce operating workflows.
  • Experience with Shopify CMS and comparable content-management platforms, with a strong understanding of content governance and publishing workflows.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing PLP service providers and merchandising platforms such as Nosto, Constructor, Bloomreach, Algolia, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience managing product recommendation engines and personalization platforms such as Monetate, Adobe Target, Visually, or comparable solutions.
  • Extensive experience designing and executing A/B and multivariate testing programs using Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target, or similar experimentation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of AI-powered merchandising capabilities, including predictive ranking, intelligent recommendations, dynamic content, and AI-assisted assortment optimization.
  • Experience leading onsite search strategy, including relevance tuning, synonyms, merchandising rules, taxonomy, filters, facets, and zero-result experiences.
