Our client, a charter school in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Senior Manager – Student Recruitment & Enrollment to assist executing and supporting strategies that drive student recruitment, engagement, and compliance. The Senior Manager - Student Recruitment & Enrollment will partner closely with the Director and Enrollment team to ensure a seamless and customer-centered experience for families - from initial inquiry through registration and onboarding. This role is highly collaborative, engaging with various Network partners, managing operational systems and vendors, and supporting the execution of events and initiatives that promote the school. The Senior Manager - Student Recruitment & Enrollment will be responsible for maintaining data accuracy across enrollment systems, overseeing vendor relations, ensuring registration compliance, and assisting in community and family engagement efforts.
  • Typical Schedule Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (M-W Onsite, Th-F Remote).  Flexibility to work events outside of normal hours and on weekend. 
    • On Event Days, hours are typically 10:00am-6:00pm
  • Pay Rate $28-30/hour
  • Contracted position to cover maternity leave until March 2027
Responsibilities:

Team & Strategy Partnership
  • Partner with the Director of Enrollment on the creation and execution of department strategies, innovations, and family events.
  • Collaborate with Network partners to ensure alignment and efficiency across enrollment-related processes.
  • Support team culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in enrollment structure and customer service.
Operational & Administrative Oversight
  • Manage Coupa processes, including purchase requests, orders, and vendor coordination.
  • Oversee SchoolMint data accuracy and integrity, troubleshooting discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with enrollment timelines and standards.
  • Manage and maintain Enrollment platforms and software systems, ensuring operational efficiency for the team
  • Execute project administration tasks, supporting the Director in tracking timelines, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Track and manage uniform inventory and vendor communications, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Customer Service & Family Experience
  • Support the execution and planning of School Tours, Open Houses, and webinars, serving as a knowledgeable and welcoming representative of the organization.
  • Manage registration compliance through driving proactive follow-up, accurate documentation, and collaboration with temps.
Community & External Engagement
  • Assist in community outreach initiatives, supporting the Director and team in building and maintaining relationships with daycare centers and community partners.
  • Represent Ascend at events to foster a positive, professional presence in the community.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 4–6 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a customer service or operations-related role; management experience preferred.
  • Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with SchoolMint or similar enrollment management systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general comfort with data systems and reporting tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a mindset for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
