Our client, a media entertainment company, is looking for a Cash Analyst to join their team! This will be a onsite role working out of their office in Nashville. The successful candidate will have 1-2 years accounting or account receivables experience.
Role Overview:
- Contract Role: 9 months
- Pay: $22.21/hr on W2
Responsibilities:
- Manage cash application for TV Stations by reviewing and correctly applying incoming wire transfers, checks, manual credit cards, and over-the-counter deposits to customer accounts.
- Create credit and debit memos for chargebacks, refunds, and posting corrections while proactively resolving unapplied payments and unknown wire transfers with the treasury team.
- Partner closely with the collections and treasury teams to match cash to corresponding invoices and support TV stations with check backups and inquiries.
- Prepare daily cash received reports, balance daily cash receipt accounts, and record necessary journal entries to the general ledger (G/L).
- Play an active role during the month-end close process and assist with internal/external audit reports, ad-hoc projects, and active audit participation.
Required Qualifications:
- Requires 1 to 2 years of accounting or accounts receivable experience, proficiency in handling checks and wire transfers, and expertise in Excel and Word.
- Strong interpersonal and language skills (English required; Spanish is a plus) to collaborate effectively with a worldwide team.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to manage tasks accurately and follow up consistently.
- A proactive, team-oriented multitasker capable of prioritizing tasks, meeting aggressive deadlines, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
