Were recruiting a Payroll Specialist for a rapidly growing healthcare technology organization seeking a hands-on payroll professional to take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations across a multi-state and international workforce.
  • Location: Dallas, TX (mostly in office)
  • Salary: $90,000$120,000 + bonus
Responsibilities:
  • Own end-to-end multi-state payroll processing for approximately 800 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for ADP Workforce Now, maintaining employee records, tax setup, and system configuration.
  • Process regular and off-cycle payroll, including overtime, bonuses, commissions, garnishments, and other adjustments.
  • Manage multi-state payroll tax compliance, filings, registrations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reconcile payroll, timekeeping, benefits deductions, and payroll-related GL accounts; resolve discrepancies before payroll is finalized.
  • Support benefits administration, leave-related payroll, and time and attendance processes.
  • Administer the corporate card program, including card setup, limits, reconciliations, and policy monitoring.
  • Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate, audit-ready records and documentation.
  • Partner with Accounting, People, vendors, and leadership on payroll-related questions and issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and systems as the organization continues to grow.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 36 years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state payroll.
  • Hands-on experience administering ADP Workforce Now or a similar payroll system.
  • Working knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll taxes, wage-and-hour regulations, and garnishments.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ownership of payroll accuracy and deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy, analytical, and comfortable troubleshooting issues independently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Accounting, HR, and external vendors.
  • CPP certification and experience with benefits or corporate card administration are a plus.
