POSTED 9/8/2026
Our client, a rapidly growing multi-unit restaurant organization, is seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to serve as its senior operational leader. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, this individual will translate the company’s growth strategy into consistent, scalable restaurant performance. The SVP of Operations will oversee operational execution, financial performance, guest experience, leadership development, and organizational readiness for significant expansion. This leader will develop the Operations leadership team, establish clear standards and accountability, and build the infrastructure and talent needed to support aggressive restaurant growth. The ideal candidate combines executive-level strategic thinking with a hands-on operating style. This individual must be equally comfortable developing senior leaders, reviewing financial performance, establishing scalable systems, and spending time in restaurants to evaluate execution firsthand.
Responsibilities:
Provide enterprise-wide leadership and accountability for restaurant operations across multiple markets.
Translate the company’s strategy and growth objectives into clear operational priorities, standards, scorecards, and measurable results.
Lead, coach, and develop Directors of Operations and other senior field leaders while building a strong succession pipeline.
Own overall operational and financial performance, including sales, average unit volume, four-wall EBITDA, labor, cost of goods sold, controllable expenses, and restaurant profitability.
Analyze restaurant P&Ls, operating metrics, guest feedback, and field observations to identify performance gaps and implement sustainable improvements.
Establish scalable processes that ensure consistent execution of brand standards, food safety, speed of service, order accuracy, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team on strategic planning, organizational design, budgeting, forecasting, and overall business performance.
Ensure operational readiness for new restaurant openings by partnering cross-functionally on leadership, staffing, training, opening execution, and post-opening stabilization.
Build organizational capacity ahead of growth through workforce planning, leadership development, internal promotions, succession planning, and effective performance management.
Maintain a strong field presence and foster a culture of accountability, urgency, continuous improvement, and ownership of results.
Represent the organization with its franchisor and other strategic partners while strengthening its reputation as a high-performing restaurant operator.
Model and reinforce the organization’s core values and leadership expectations.
Required Qualifications:
At least 10 years of progressive multi-unit restaurant leadership experience, including significant senior-level operational responsibility.
Strong experience within quick-service restaurants or fast-casual dining is highly preferred.
Demonstrated success leading a large, multi-market restaurant portfolio and scaling operations during periods of significant unit growth.
Strong financial acumen with comprehensive knowledge of restaurant P&Ls, budgets, forecasts, labor models, operating KPIs, and unit economics.
Proven ability to build, coach, retain, and develop high-performing field leadership teams and succession pipelines.
Experience establishing scalable operating processes, performance standards, and accountability systems across multiple markets.
Strategic and analytical mindset combined with a hands-on leadership style, sound judgment, and a strong bias toward action.
Exceptional executive communication, relationship-building, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated ability to lead through rapid growth, organizational change, and ambiguity while maintaining consistent operational standards.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent senior-level multi-unit restaurant leadership experience will also be considered.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the organization’s markets.
If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
