We are looking for a Freelance  Associate Designer, Handbags & Soft Accessories. Freelance designer will work on Handbags and Soft Accessories (socks, hats, scarves, cold-weather accessories) for Outlet and Off-Price. Ideal candidate will be a team player, detail-oriented, proactive, organized and able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. In NYC office Monday-Thursday, WFH Friday but need flexibility to come in if necessary.

• Pay rate: $ 34.50- $ 35.50
• Start ASAP
• Duration 5 months

Responsibilities:

• Adobe Illustrator sketches and color ups 
• Pitch/Scale artwork for soft accessories
• Update previous styles/technical specs for new season
• Make cad/art updates for proto samples and make sample comments in PLM. 
• BOM updates in PLM

Qualifications:

Experience:   

• 3-4 years fashion design experience. Accessories preferred, open to Apparel. 

Education:   

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Fashion Design

Skills:  

• Must have design experience and an inherent understanding of the design process
• Must have proficient knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Web PLM (Centric PLM preferred)
• Strong organization, communication and time-management skills
• Works both collaboratively and independently
