Our client, a leading entertainment corporation, is seeking a coordinator to join their publicity team assisting with multiple television series and specials.  This role works contributing to the development and execution of strategic publicity campaigns and reports directly to the Director of Publicity. The ideal candidate will have an interest in publicity and the factual entertainment industry. This role will support multiple projects and team members, so timeliness and accuracy with a positive and collaborative approach is key.
  • Monday-Friday 10:00am-7:00pm – M-Th onsite, Friday remote
  • Temporary contract of at least 1 year in either Washington, DC or New York, NY
  • Pay Rate $36.67/hour depending on experience
Responsibilities:
  • Media Relations: build and maintain relationships with press and pitch regularly to secure coverage. Media to include traditional, non-traditional, and content creators.
  • Campaign Strategy: Provide reactive support for global acquisitions inquiries, contribute to campaign brainstorming, lead or co-lead select campaigns. Support teams in reporting including slide decks and campaign beat reports.
  • Press Materials: Work with production partners to acquire all delivered materials for campaigns. Create and distribute press materials to press, broadcast asset package, and deliver assets to partners. Create and send out Monthly press highlights. Maintain materials on press site.
  • International collaboration: create and share nomination grids, schedule, and run interviews. Share press materials and international asset package for localization and manage incoming asks.
  • Creative Requests: manage department creative requests, traffic materials with creative team, and arrange final delivery.
  • Operations requests: Manage operations requests for clips, screeners, etc.
  • Agency Management: manage agency deliverables, provide assets.
  • Manage Social Media: PR account, liaison for internal social team
  • Screening Requests: manage all screening requests for shows and specials from information requests, to rights and clearances, and file delivery.
  • Coverage: track show coverage, create and send out PR updates, monitor and submit daily clips.
  • Events: travel to and help manage press & influencer junkets, events, create and manage event assets and briefing docs.

Requried Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in publicity or related fields
  • Microsoft Office suite experience including Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook (Basic to Intermediate)
  • Google suite experience including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms (Basic to Intermediate)
  • Willingness to learn on the job for additional applications like M360, MailChimp, Airtable, etc.
