Our client is seeking an Audience Insights & Measurement Analyst to serve as the measurement layer supporting both Ad Sales and the organization's Audience Development strategy. The primary focus will be delivering fast, credible audience insights for Ad Sales while building the analytical foundation needed to measure viewership, audience development, and fandom. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Nielsen NPower, understands television and streaming audience measurement, and can translate complex audience data into clear, compelling narratives and strategic recommendations.

  • Location: Chicago, IL or New York City, NY (Onsite)

  • Contract Duration: 9+ Months

  • Rate Range: $35–$45/hr W2

  • Only W2 Candidates, NO C2C

Responsibilities:

Ad Sales Research & Insights

  • Deliver audience analyses, competitive positioning, and custom audience cuts based on client and category briefs.

  • Provide accurate insights and deliverables within demanding Ad Sales timelines.

  • Build reusable templates, pull-sheets, and reporting tools to streamline recurring requests.

  • Translate audience measurement data into clear narratives that can be used in client conversations and sales presentations.

  • Leverage Ad Intel to develop useful tools, analyses, and sales stories supporting the Ad Sales pipeline.

  • Support agency relationships and additional research requests as needed.

Audience Development Measurement

  • Establish viewership baselines using key metrics including:

    • Ratings

    • Share

    • Time spent viewing

    • Average Minute Audience (AMA)

    • Net new viewers

    • Viewer migration

    • Cross-platform duplication

  • Support measurement of advertising revenue attribution to owned audiences and the relationship between viewership and fan-tier depth.

  • Contribute to the Audience Development Tracker and unified dashboard.

  • Size audience opportunities for pilot franchises and provide evidence for franchise prioritization.

  • Help connect syndicated viewership data with first-party fan data as identity integration initiatives progress.

  • Support measurement design for fan programs and activations, including data capture, comparison groups, and success criteria.

  • Partner with internal teams to determine what the data supports and communicate limitations clearly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in media research, audience measurement, or media analytics.

  • Experience working within a network, studio, agency, publisher, or audience measurement provider environment.

  • Hands-on experience with Nielsen NPower — REQUIRED.

  • ???????Strong understanding of television and streaming audience measurement.

  • Experience supporting Ad Sales or working under tight sales-driven deadlines.

  • Proven ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop strategic recommendations.

  • Strong analytical judgment and attention to accuracy.

  • Ability to clearly communicate what the data does and does not support.

  • Experience working with syndicated and cross-platform audience data.

  • Experience with Black audiences and multicultural measurement, including segmentation and panel-based research.

  • Experience with fandom-driven franchises, unscripted programming, soap operas, or comparable entertainment environments.

  • Experience working with first-party audience data and identity integration.

  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Understand both the strengths and limitations of audience measurement data.

Success in this role will be demonstrated by:

  • Delivering Ad Sales answers in hours rather than days.

  • Establishing reliable viewership baselines and measurement frameworks.

  • Creating reusable research templates and tools.

  • Supporting the Audience Development Tracker and senior leadership reporting.

  • Providing defensible audience opportunity assessments for pilot franchises.

  • Helping determine whether deeper fandom correlates with increased viewing.

  • Turning audience measurement data into clear, actionable sales and strategic insights.
