We are looking for an Assistant Illustration Manager for a top media & entertainment company, hybrid out of their Emeryville, CA offices!

• Pay Rate: $43/hour
• Duration: 11/2/26 – 7/30/27
• Location: Emeryville, CA — Hybrid

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the creation of layouts, clean-up, and paint illustrations for various books for franchise extensions of Animation Studios Publishing programs.
• Collaborate with staff artists, as well as staff editors and designers, to ensure all aspects of title development are in sync.
• Assist with reference collection for freelance artists.
• Assist with the management and art direction of freelance artists and revise commissioned work as needed to meet asset delivery requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Significant expertise in digital illustration, particularly in Photoshop.
• Must have the ability to create illustrations in various styles.
• Must possess strong drafting skills.
• Must possess excellent time management skills to meet deadlines across multiple project timelines.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Illustration, Fine Art, or another creative discipline.

Other Qualifications:

• Able to convey information clearly and persuasively, whether in person or in writing.
