We are seeking a highly entrepreneurial Social Media Manager (Reddit expert) to own and lead a major brand’s presence on Reddit. This person will be responsible for developing the Reddit strategy, fostering authentic community engagement, monitoring conversations and sentiment, and identifying opportunities to strengthen brand reputation and customer loyalty. The ideal candidate is a true Reddit expert who understands the platform’s culture, communities, and nuances and can operate independently with strong judgment. This role is best suited for someone who is proactive, data-driven, and comfortable making decisions and bringing forward strategic recommendations without needing extensive direction. Experience working on the brand side within a social media team is highly preferred; hospitality or travel experience is a plus.

• Rate: up to $48/hr.
• Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Hybrid 3 days a week)

Responsibilities:

• Own and lead the brand’s presence and strategy on Reddit, serving as the internal subject matter expert.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive Reddit strategy focused on authentic engagement, brand reputation, awareness, trust, and loyalty.
• Create and curate compelling, platform-appropriate content that resonates with Reddit communities.
• Actively monitor Reddit conversations, trends, sentiment, and emerging topics relevant to the brand and its customers.
• Engage authentically with communities and identify opportunities to participate in meaningful conversations.
• Translate social listening and performance data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
• Proactively bring forward ideas and recommendations backed by data and clear rationale.
• Make independent day-to-day decisions while maintaining strong alignment with broader social and brand objectives.
• Monitor and contribute to the brand’s presence across Reddit, Facebook, and Threads.

• Strong, hands-on expertise with Reddit and a deep understanding of its culture, communities, content formats, and best practices.
• Proven experience managing and growing a brand’s social media presence.
• Strong knowledge of Facebook and Threads; Instagram and TikTok expertise are not required.
• Entrepreneurial, self-directed mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Excellent judgment and confidence making decisions without constant oversight.
• Highly proactive; naturally brings ideas, solutions, and recommendations to the table.
• Data-driven approach with the ability to use insights and analytics to inform strategy.
• Ideally, experience working on the brand side as part of an internal social media team.
• Hospitality, travel, cruise, or consumer brand experience is a plus.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to engage authentically with online communities.
