Our client is seeking a Quality Control & Product Testing Associate to support hands-on product testing and recipe validation within a Test Kitchen environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Food Science, Culinary Arts, product testing, or hands-on kitchen/laboratory work who enjoys working directly with products and evaluating their performance.

 

  • Location: Needham, MA | Fully Onsite

  • Schedule: 40 hours/week

  • Pay Rate: $30–$32/hour

  • Assignment: Contract | Initial assignment beginning October 2026, with potential for extension

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on testing of products and appliances in a Test Kitchen environment.

  • Perform food-load and product-performance testing according to established testing protocols.

  • Support recipe validation for new and existing products, including coffee makers, cooking appliances, and other kitchen products.

  • Prepare and cook recipes using various products to evaluate performance, functionality, and consistency.

  • Partner with Food Scientists, Research Chefs, and other members of the product testing team.

  • Execute testing procedures accurately and consistently.

  • Document test results, observations, and findings.

  • Identify product or testing issues and proactively escalate concerns to the appropriate team members.

  • Support quality-control processes designed to evaluate product compliance with established specifications.

  • Assist with the development and improvement of testing processes and procedures as needed.


Required Qualifications:

  • Background in Food Science, Culinary Arts, food/product testing, laboratory testing, or a similar hands-on environment preferred.

  • Comfortable preparing food and working directly with kitchen appliances and equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established testing procedures.

  • Adaptable, curious, and able to learn new products and testing processes quickly.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable identifying issues, asking questions, and proactively communicating concerns.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
