Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Senior Financial Analyst to join the finance team supporting CBS News Broadcast Shows. This role will assist with the development of new financial reporting and systems to help executives understand the financial performance of CBS News shows. The team supports multiple broadcast shows and works closely with Executive Producers to develop and implement financial strategies that balance creative priorities with the fiscal needs of the broadcast television business. The role will also support the transformation to the new Oracle Fusion environment and involve rebuilding financial reports and processes from the ground up. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working in an agile and high-volume environment, and able to communicate effectively with creative professionals, Executive Producers, and C-suite executives.

Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Rate Range: $35–$45/hr W2

Responsibilities:
Own and maintain recurring financial reporting cycles across CBS News broadcast programs.
Partner with Finance and Business colleagues to evaluate budgets and maintain financial discipline.
Support the preparation, review, and consolidation of annual operating budgets and Long Range Plans.
Develop monthly forecasts and monitor financial performance against budgets.
Analyze actual costs and prepare variance analysis and monthly financial reporting for leadership.
Provide clear financial commentary and narratives that help executives understand business results.
Track costs and budget performance at the individual story/segment level, identifying overruns and incorporating findings into show-level and portfolio-level reporting.
Support segment-level budgeting for designated broadcast programs.
Identify and reclassify miscoded expenses to maintain financial data accuracy.
Assist Executive Producers in understanding P&Ls and developing financial strategies from a business and production perspective.
Support the rebuilding and transformation of financial reporting systems and processes.
Assist with the transition to and implementation of the new Oracle system.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis, modeling, research, and reporting as needed.
Use AI tools where appropriate to accelerate financial analysis, reporting, and data interpretation.
Required Qualifications:
4–5 years of related financial analysis experience.
Strong experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred/required as applicable.
Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
Experience analyzing large datasets and translating financial results into meaningful business insights.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively with senior executives and creative/production professionals.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong attention to detail and ownership of data and formula integrity.

Experience supporting financial transformation or ERP implementation initiatives.
Experience developing financial reporting systems or rebuilding reports from scratch.
