Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to support the CBS TV Stations Finance organization. The primary focus of this role will be financial forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and monthly close. The analyst will partner with Finance leadership and directors across 17 TV stations nationwide to consolidate financial information, analyze business performance, and support financial planning activities. The ideal candidate has strong experience with forecasting and financial planning tools such as SAP, Oracle, Oracle Fusion, or similar platforms, along with advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. This is a fast-paced and evolving environment requiring strong communication, agility, organization, and the ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven work.

 

  • Location: New York, NY (Onsite)

  • Contract Duration: 6+ Months

  • Rate Range: $35–$45/hr W2

  • Only W2 Candidates, NO C2C

Responsibilities:

  • Create financial models and perform complex scenario analysis for projects across multiple business units within the TV Stations division.

  • Collaborate with individual TV stations on monthly forecasts and assist with annual budget preparation.

  • Support the Long-Range Plan (LRP), including the five-year financial planning process.

  • Assist with monthly financial close activities, including journal entries, accruals, variance analysis, and consolidation.

  • Partner with Finance Directors and station leadership across 17 U.S. markets to collect, consolidate, and analyze financial information.

  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Assist with capital expenditure requests, reporting, and project tracking.

  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support corporate financial submissions.

  • Review and reconcile invoices, code documents to G/L accounts, process expense reports, and support other accounts payable activities as needed.

  • Prepare presentations, reports, and financial materials for FP&A leadership and the CBS TV Stations executive team.

  • Work with large-volume datasets to identify trends, variances, and business insights.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a focus in Finance or Accounting.

  • 4–5+ years of financial planning and analysis experience.

  • Strong experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.

  • Experience supporting monthly close and financial consolidation.

  • Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts and accounting principles.

  • Experience working with financial planning/ERP tools such as Oracle, SAP, Oracle Fusion, or similar platforms.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to identify issues and determine when escalation is appropriate.

  • Experience with capital expenditure tracking and reporting.

  • Experience preparing executive-level financial presentations.

  • Strong desire to learn the media industry and CBS business operations.
