  • The salary range for this NY-based hybrid role is $150,000 - $160,000 plus bonus.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth, profitability, and long-term account expansion within the private label apparel business.

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with major accounts such as Kohl's, Macy's, Nordstrom, Target, Dillards, Academy Sports, Tractor Supply, and other regional and national retailers.
  • Present seasonal product concepts, sourcing capabilities, and strategic business solutions to retail buyers, merchants, and sourcing teams.
  • Partner closely with design, merchandising, product development, sourcing, and overseas production teams to ensure successful execution from concept through delivery.
  • Lead account negotiations including pricing, costing, margins, delivery calendars, and program expansion opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, consumer preferences, and retail performance to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Analyze sales performance, forecasts, KPIs, and business trends, providing regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Manage the product development process for key accounts, including line reviews, sample tracking, costing, and ongoing communication with overseas factories and merchandising teams.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and business development activities.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience within private label apparel manufacturing, preferably across sportswear, casualwear, workwear, or related categories.
  • Strong understanding of apparel sourcing, costing, product development, overseas manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
  • Existing relationships with key retail accounts including department stores, specialty retailers, value channels, and e-commerce partners.
  • Demonstrated success opening new accounts, developing strategic partnerships, and growing annual sales volume.
  • Experience managing programs from initial concept and development through production and delivery.
  • Knowledge of men's and women's apparel markets, including better, moderate, casual, active, and workwear classifications.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, analytical, forecasting, and business planning skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and cross-functional initiatives simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment where a hands-on approach and sense of urgency are highly valued.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed for customer meetings, factory visits, and trade events.
  • Experience working with retailers such as Kohl's, Macy's, Dillards, Nordstrom, Target, Academy Sports, Tractor Supply, or similar national accounts.
  • Knowledge of duty-free sourcing programs and international manufacturing advantages.
  • Background selling private label sportswear, workwear, uniforms, outdoor apparel, or lifestyle collections.
