A real estate investment platform is looking to add a Real Estate Analyst to its New York-based acquisitions team. This is a newly created opportunity for an analytically driven professional looking to build a career in real estate investment and gain meaningful exposure to the full acquisitions and asset management process. The Analyst will work closely with senior members of the investment team and support the evaluation of prospective investments across office, retail, and multifamily properties throughout the New York tri-state area and beyond. This is a hands-on position with exposure to underwriting, financial modeling, valuation, market research, due diligence, and transaction execution.

- Compensation: Up to low-mid 80’s base salary + bonus
- Experience: 0 (must have meaningful internships)–2 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate, investment banking, private equity, financial analysis, or a related field. MUST have Argus experience.
- About the Opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain financial models used to evaluate prospective real estate acquisitions.
- Underwrite office, retail, and multifamily investment opportunities.
- Analyze property-level operating performance, including revenue, expenses, NOI, capital expenditures, and cash flow.
- Utilize ARGUS Enterprise in the underwriting and analysis of commercial real estate opportunities.
- Review and interpret ARGUS models, property financials, rent rolls, leases, offering memoranda, and other transaction materials.
- Conduct comparable property and market analysis to support investment decisions.
- Prepare sensitivity and scenario analyses around rents, occupancy, expenses, financing assumptions, exit values, and other key variables.
- Assist with valuation and investment return calculations, including IRR, equity multiples, capitalization rates, and cash-on-cash returns.
- Support due diligence by organizing, reviewing, and analyzing property and market information.
- Prepare investment summaries, financial analyses, and presentation materials for senior members of the acquisitions team.
- Track prospective investments through various stages of the acquisition process.
- Assist with ad hoc financial and market analysis related to new investment opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- 0 (must have meaningful internships)–2 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate, investment banking, private equity, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Hands-on ARGUS Enterprise experience is important for this role. Candidates should have prior exposure to ARGUS and be comfortable utilizing the platform as part of their real estate analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of financial modeling.
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in commercial real estate investing and acquisitions.
- Ability to interpret financial and operating information and communicate findings clearly.
- Organized, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
