Our client is seeking an experienced CoE Lead to design and stand up a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Managed Service Provider (MSP) Excellence within its Global Technology Solutions organization. This is a builder-focused engagement. The CoE does not currently exist, SIAM standards are not yet documented, and existing playbooks are still developing. The CoE Lead will define the CoE's purpose and operating model, establish standards and playbooks, develop enablement programs for retained teams and vendors, and create sustainable documentation and assets that can be transitioned to the permanent team. The ideal candidate will operate independently as an experienced consulting practitioner, effectively manage stakeholders, deliver against a defined scope and timeline, and ensure a clean knowledge transfer and handoff at the conclusion of the engagement.

• Contract Duration: 6+ Months

• Rate Range: $65-$80/hr on W2

• Only W2 Candidates, NO C2C

Responsibilities:

• Define the purpose, scope, operating model, and governance structure of the MSP Excellence CoE.

• Establish clear ownership boundaries, including what the CoE owns, advises on, and how it interfaces with Provider Governance, Finance, and Data teams.

• Establish the CoE's standards council cadence and decision-making process.

• Develop governance processes for approving SIAM standards, onboarding assets, and training curriculum.

• Develop core SIAM standards, process playbooks, and operating procedures for retained teams and managed service providers.

• Ensure standards and playbooks are practical, actionable, accessible, and aligned with the organization's current maturity level.

• Build a reusable library of templates, checklists, reference materials, and governance assets.

• Design and deliver training programs for the SPOps team covering:

  • SIAM principles

  • Vendor governance expectations

  • Evidence standards

• Develop onboarding materials for new providers and team members to promote consistent understanding of MSP governance expectations.

• Conduct an initial maturity assessment of the existing MSP governance ecosystem.

• Identify capability gaps and define a maturity roadmap for the permanent team.

• Document CoE assets, standards, processes, playbooks, and training materials for long-term ownership.

• Ensure documentation enables the permanent team to operate and maintain the CoE without ongoing external support.

• Support knowledge transfer and transition to the incoming permanent team.

• Manage stakeholders, project scope, timelines, and deliverables independently throughout the engagement.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in consulting or enterprise technology environments.

• Demonstrated experience designing and operating:

  • Centers of Excellence

  • Enablement functions

  • Capability development programs

  • Technology services governance functions

• Proven experience building governance standards, playbooks, and training programs for multi-provider managed services environments.

• Experience working with MSP governance and SIAM frameworks/practices.

• Strong consulting background with the ability to independently structure and manage engagements.

• Experience conducting maturity assessments and developing capability roadmaps.

• Strong facilitation and instructional design capabilities.

• Experience designing and delivering training programs for audiences with varying levels of experience.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Ability to develop practical documentation and assets that permanent teams can independently maintain.

• Bachelor's degree required.
