A leading digital creative agency is seeking a Director of Creative Technology to define and advance how emerging technologies are used to create innovative digital, physical, interactive and immersive experiences.
This is a senior-level opportunity for a creative and technology leader who can operate at the intersection of creative strategy, AI, design, technology and production. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable discussing an emerging technology with engineers, shaping a creative concept with designers, presenting a vision to clients and rolling up their sleeves to prototype what’s possible. The organization is looking for someone who can bring a forward-looking perspective to its creative practice; identifying new technologies and opportunities, developing experimental concepts and helping multidisciplinary teams turn ambitious ideas into compelling, real-world experiences.

• Salary: $170k - $190k
• Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL; 1-2 days/week in-office

Responsibilities:

• Lead the creative technology vision across a diverse range of projects, clients and experiences
• Explore how AI, generative AI, creative coding, real-time 3D, spatial computing, interactive media, computer vision and other emerging technologies can unlock new creative possibilities
• Partner with creative directors, designers, strategists, producers, developers and engineers to develop concepts that are both creatively ambitious and technically achievable
• Guide projects from early-stage ideation and experimentation through prototyping, production and launch
• Establish a culture of experimentation through prototypes, proof-of-concepts, technology explorations and rapid iteration
• Help clients understand the potential of emerging technology and translate complex technical possibilities into compelling creative and business opportunities
• Identify new tools, platforms, technologies and external partners that can expand the organization's capabilities
• Develop repeatable frameworks, processes and capabilities that allow creative technology ideas to move efficiently from experimentation into production
• Mentor and collaborate with multidisciplinary talent across creative, design, technology and production disciplines
• Serve as a visible thought leader who helps shape the organization's perspective on the future of creativity and technology

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience managing a technology or creative team for a leading agency
• We’re looking for a multidisciplinary creative technology leader with a track record of bringing technology and creativity together in meaningful ways. Your background might include creative technology, experience design or innovation
• You should have enough technical fluency to understand the possibilities and limitations of emerging technologies, while also possessing the creative judgment to determine when technology genuinely improves an experience and when it doesn't
• The strongest candidates will be comfortable working across strategy and execution, moving between high-level vision and hands-on experimentation. You thrive in environments where the problems are often undefined, the technology is evolving and the best solution may require creating something that hasn't existed before
• Most importantly, you’re curious, collaborative and excited by the opportunity to use technology as a creative medium
