We are partnered with a rapidly growing aerospace company that is looking for a Staff Accountant due to growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable activities including invoice processing, three-way matching, vendor maintenance, and payment processing.
- Support Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing, cash applications, collections, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and other month-end close activities.
- Perform bank, balance sheet, credit card, and subledger reconciliations.
- Assist with inventory, fixed asset, and operational accounting processes.
- Support audit requests and financial reporting requirements.
- Partner with purchasing, operations, receiving, and customer service teams to resolve accounting-related issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience with hands-on AP and AR responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Experience with three-way matching, vendor management, and payment processing.
- Advanced Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, and reconciliations.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or product-based environment is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
