Our client is seeking an AI and Technology Consultant to assist with identifying repetitive manual workflows and constructing end-to-end automation solutions.  This role focuses on developing maintainable automations, creating transparent technical documentation, and training business users to ensure long-term self-sufficiency upon project completion. This is a hybrid consultant position for approximately 6 months, primary location is in Itsaca, IL but will also be accepting candidates who can commute to Burlington, NJ or Melville, NY. 
  • Pay Rate $25/hour
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates and Identifies Automation Opportunities: Meets directly with key business departments to analyze, evaluate, and identify repetitive manual processes suitable for automation.
  • Develops Scalable Automation Solutions: Leverages Google Workspace, AI tools (Gemini preferred), Apps Script, RPA, Python, and advanced Excel/VBA to design and execute robust automated solutions.
  • Executes Technical Data & Workflow Operations: Builds end-to-end automations for large data sets, automated reporting, online forms, automated email responses with attachments, data analysis, data scrubbing, OCR recognition, and rigorous data validations.
  • Drafts ERP System Proposals: Drafts automation proposals (e.g., RPA for ERP field population) to submit to CUSA IT for policy compliance and system approval, adhering to organizational policies restricting direct ERP automations.
  • Documents Processes & Codebase: Thoroughly documents all workflows, scripts, code bases, and technical implementations to provide clear maintainability for internal teams.
  • Trains & Empowers Business Users: Conducts comprehensive training sessions and workshops for department users to facilitate seamless adoption and operational self-sufficiency.
  • Manages Project Hand-off: Ensures all deployed automations, workflows, and reporting dashboards are fully operational and easily manageable by business teams post-hand-off.
  • Collaborates Across Teams: Works closely with primary supervisor Steve Frank and key supporting teams (Business Process Planning and CUSA IT) to align on deliverables and technical standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience with data validation, ETL processes, database management (BigQuery/SQL Server preferred), and automation tools (RPA, Python, or advanced Excel/VBA).
  • Strong Written and Verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical users.
