Our client, a leading fitness and wellness technology brand, is seeking a Production Designer to join their creative team on a freelance basis. This role will support a wide range of marketing and brand initiatives, bringing established creative concepts to life across digital, social, email, web, retail, and other consumer-facing channels. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, production-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.

  • This is a freelance assignment. Pay rate range: $50-60/hr

Responsibilities

  • Execute and adapt existing creative concepts across a wide range of formats, channels, and deliverables while maintaining strong visual consistency and brand standards.
  • Take creative work from approved concepts through final production, ensuring layouts, typography, imagery, color, and other visual elements are polished and production-ready.
  • Produce high volumes of creative assets and variations for digital, social, email, web, retail, paid media, and other marketing channels.
  • Resize, version, and adapt creative across multiple specifications, platforms, placements, and aspect ratios while maintaining the integrity of the original design.
  • Partner closely with Art Directors, Designers, Creative Directors, Producers, Project Managers, Copywriters, and Marketing stakeholders to execute work efficiently and accurately.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritizing work based on business needs and communicating proactively when timelines or requirements shift.
  • Prepare final files and production-ready assets, ensuring proper dimensions, file formats, naming conventions, specifications, and organization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external production partners as needed to ensure assets are delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Review work carefully for visual, technical, and production issues before delivery, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Help maintain and evolve scalable creative templates, systems, and production workflows that allow the team to efficiently create and adapt content across channels.
  • Work within established brand guidelines while exercising strong design judgment to ensure every execution feels cohesive, polished, and on-brand.
  • Support quick-turn creative requests and ongoing campaign updates while balancing larger, planned initiatives.
  • Organize and maintain project files and source assets so that creative work can be easily accessed, updated, and repurposed.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Production Designer, Graphic Designer, Visual Designer, or similar role within an agency, brand, or in-house creative environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating production design, layout, versioning, and execution across multiple creative formats and channels.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Strong working knowledge of Figma and experience working within established design systems, templates, and brand guidelines.
  • Proven ability to take approved creative concepts and independently translate them into polished, production-ready assets.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, image treatment, and visual consistency.
  • Experience producing high-volume creative and managing multiple versions, specifications, and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong understanding of digital and print production requirements.
  • Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across creative, marketing, production, and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask questions, flag issues, or escalate potential production challenges.
  • Experience working in a consumer-facing, lifestyle, fitness, retail, technology, or similarly fast-moving brand environment is a plus.
