Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freelance R&D Lab Assistant to support a busy Research & Development laboratory in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in product development, quality assurance, laboratory operations, and consumer products. In this role, you will support the day-to-day activities of the lab by preparing and managing samples, documenting testing results, maintaining testing schedules, and assisting with product evaluations. You will work closely with cross-functional partners across R&D, Quality Assurance, and Packaging Engineering to ensure products meet performance, quality, and packaging standards. This position offers exposure to the testing and evaluation of beauty and home fragrance products, including assessing product stability, packaging functionality, and overall performance. Candidates with an interest in product formulation, consumer packaged goods, beauty products, or packaging engineering are encouraged to apply. The team is collaborative, supportive, and hands-on. This role requires someone who is flexible, willing to assist with both technical and routine lab responsibilities, comfortable communicating testing results to cross-functional partners, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

• Hourly pay rate $24.00

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a Scientific or Engineering discipline required
• 0-3 years of laboratory, QA, R&D, manufacturing, or related experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and testing protocols
• Team-oriented mindset and adaptability in a dynamic environment
• SAP experience preferred
